Mazda CX-60 Soon To Land In Malaysia Costing RM 198,800

This latest addition to the Mazda SUV lineup will first come fully imported from Japan in September 2025.
An official brochure previewing the imminent Malaysian arrival of the all-new CX-60 has just made its way onto the interweb, fulfilling the promise Mazda made during the model’s first local appearance at KLIMS late last year. This newest member of the Japanese marque’s SUV family will come in as a fully-imported (CBU) unit from Japan, with a rather competitive price tag of RM 198,800.
Positioned as a premium midsize SUV that sits above the (now somewhat aging) CX-5, the CX-60 will initially be offered here in a sole 2.5G 2WD High variant. This 5-seater family-hauler is to be built on Mazda’s Large Product Group version of its Skyactiv Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture, which deliciously pairs a longitudinally-mounted engine with rear-wheel drive.
As that sole 2.5G 2WD variant implies however, Malaysians will unfortunately miss out on the more exciting 3.3-litre straight-six engine available in other markets. Instead, power for the local CX-60 comes from a 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated Skyactiv-G inline-four that delivers 191 PS and 261 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission sending drive to the rear wheels.
Under the skin, the CX-60 has a pretty sophisticated suspension setup featuring double wishbones up front and a multi-link setup at the rear. Mazda’s Kinematic Posture Control system is also included, subtly applying braking to the inside rear wheel during cornering to enhance vehicle stability and posture.
Exterior-wise, the CX-60 sports a bolder, more muscular look than the CX-5. It comes equipped with full LED lighting all around, 20-inch black alloy wheels and a full-length panoramic sunroof.
Moving along inside, the CX-60 boasts a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, matched with a 12.3-inch central infotainment touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other highlights include powered front seats with driver memory function, black leather upholstery, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a wireless phone charger and a hands-free powered tailgate.
Finally in terms of safety and convenience features, the CX-60 comes packing eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry, walk-away auto lock and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). These include Adaptive LED Headlamps (ALH), blind spot monitoring, front and rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, driver attention alert, Smart Brake Support (front and rear) and Mazda Radar Cruise Control (with stop & go).
Bundled into the estimated RM 198,800 price tag with the CX-60 is Mazda’s Activ-e window tint, along with a five-year/100,000 km warranty and free maintenance package. Customers can choose from five exterior colours: Soul Red Crystal, Jet Black, Zircon Sand, Platinum Quartz, and Rhodium White.
