These two newly-opened smart outlets are the automaker’s first locations in both Pahang and Sarawak.
smart Malaysia has recently strengthened its nationwide presence with the launch of two new dealerships: HK Electra – smart Kuantan in Pahang and Ghee Hua – smart Kuching in Sarawak. This latest round of expansion brings the EV manufacturer’s total dealership count to 11 locations across the nation.
Both new dealerships will feature the automaker’s premium EV lineup alongside Proton e.MAS models, as both are to be distributed locally under the broader PRO-NET umbrella. smart Malaysia CEO Zhang Qiang emphasised that this expansion reflects the growing demand for premium EVs in Malaysia, and reinforces the company’s commitment to making EV ownership more accessible.
HK Electra – smart Kuantan, is strategically located in Indera Mahkota opposite PUSPAKOM. It boasts impressive facilities that includes a 695 m² showroom with four display units and six EV chargers, with two of these are 120 kW DC fast chargers. HK Electra had previously operated a Proton 2S outlet in 2007, before it upgraded to becoming a 4S centre in 2018, with it notably winning the No. 1 Diamond Grand Award in 2023 and 2024.
In East Malaysia meanwhile, Ghee Hua – smart Kuching represents a significant milestone in Sarawak, as it is to be the automaker’s first-ever outlet in the state. The dealership follows the smart Space & Service Center model, ensuring a premium customer experience. Ghee Hua’s credentials include the Consumers’ Choice Award (2023 & 2024) and the Top Merchant & Marvelous Award (2023), demonstrating their commitment to excellence in automotive retail.
For East Coast residents, HK Electra – smart Kuantan is located at No 6, Jalan Indera Mahkota, 3/1 252000, Kuantan Pahang. East Malaysian customers on the other hand can visit Ghee Hua – smart Kuching at Lot 136-137, Jalan Abell, 93100 Kuching, Sarawak. Both dealerships are fully equipped to provide comprehensive sales and service support for smart’s innovative electric vehicle lineup.
