The New G60 BMW 530i M Sport Costs RM 430,100 In Malaysia

…or for those brave enough to just accept a 2-year warranty, this BMW 5-er could be yours for RM 399,800.
When BMW first debuted the 530i M Sport locally last month, it had neglected to put an actual price tag on this newly-revealed variant of G60 5-er. Well that mystery has since been solved, as the German automaker has recently confirmed that this current flagship trim of the ICE-only 5-Series lineup lands locally costing RM 430,100.
…or for those who are brave enough to say yes to only a 2-year warranty instead of the 5-Year BMW Service & Repair Inclusive extended warranty and service package, the 530i M Sport could be yours for just RM 399,800, which is bang on what BMW claimed this variant will cost when it was shown off locally last month.
The German automaker would like to add here that with the Easy Drive Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, the 530i M Sport can be owned with a monthly instalment plan starting from RM4,178.00 (based on estimates of an 80% loan on a five-year tenure @ 20,000 km mileage per annum). Alternatively, with the Straight-Line Financing Plan, customers can own this particular 5-er with a monthly instalment plan starting from RM4,442.00 (based on estimates of an 80% loan on a seven-year tenure).
Sitting one rung above the G60 520i that was launched last year, the 530i M Sport with the 5-year warranty currently costs RM 10,000 more than its all-electric counterpart, in the form of the i5 eDrive40 M Sport.
The 530i sets itself apart from its lesser 520i sibling on the outside through the standard inclusion of BMW’s Iconic Glow package, which brings a fully illuminated frame to further draw attention to the current 5-er’s already massive snout. This higher-end variant further features on its exterior a satin aluminium finish on its window surrounds, as well as 20-inch M light alloy wheels in star spoke style 938M.
Befitting of its M Sport variant moniker too, the 530i also adds within an M leather steering wheel, leather-lined sport seats with electric adjustability and memory function, M headliner anthracite and dark silver M interior accent combined with aluminium rhombicle. Instrumentation and infotainment meanwhile within this 5-er comes courtesy of the BMW Curved Display, which consists of a 12.3-inch instrument panel and a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Now despite the 30i in its name, the 530i M Sport instead shares the same 48 V mild hybrid 2.0-litre B48 turbocharged 4-cylinder and 8-speed automatic transmission as in the 520i. The boosted four-banger in this higher spec variant nevertheless has naturally been given a more powerful state of tune, and currently outputs 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque (in place of the 208 hp and 330 Nm of the 520i), which hence sees for it to complete the century sprint in just 6.2 seconds, before eventually topping out at 230 km/h.
In the aim of further improving driving dynamics too, the 530i M Sport lands locally with Adaptive Suspension Professional with Integral Active Steering as standard, which in normal speak translates to electronically controlled shock absorbers and rear wheel steering. Most buyers however will probably be more interested to know that this premium sedan comes with Driving Assistant Plus, which brings with it Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go functionality, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, as well as Lane Departure Warning.
There are currently 5 colours for buyers in Malaysia to choose from with their G60 530i M sport: Black Sapphire Metallic, Mineral White Metallic, Phytonic Blue Metallic, Brooklyn Grey Metallic, and a striking Cape York Green Metallic. Its two-tone Leather Merino interior upholstery in turn could be had in either Black/Atlas Grey, or Copper Brown/Atlas Grey.
BMW Malaysia is also offering the 530i M Sport with an extensive range of optional M Performance Parts, for a more striking and personalised look. For further information on the optional M Performance Parts, interested parties may contact their preferred dealership to find out more.
