Tan Chong Insure Launches New Motor Takaful Financing Plan

Tan Chong Insure Go Ansuran Mudah allows customer to finance between RM 300 and RM 5,000 for their motor takaful policy and road tax.

Regardless of economic status,  every motorist in Malaysia will likely know the hurt they feel in their wallet when it comes time to renew their vehicle’s annual insurance and road tax. Even for the cheapest of cars with the barest-bones policy, the cost of keeping one’s ride legal for Malaysian roads for yet another year easily runs into the hundreds…

Though more pertinently in these economically-trying times, there are likely some out there who are currently deciding between paying for motor insurance or feeding themselves. To those who are in that situation, instead of doing the irresponsible thing of driving without road tax and insurance, maybe first check out Tan Chong Insure’s newly-launched Go Ansuran Mudah Shariah-compliant instalment plan for motor takaful policies and road tax renewals.

Underwritten by finance broker Direct Lending, Go Ansuran Mudah customers will be able to finance between RM 300 and RM 5,000 for their motor takaful policies and road tax. Tan Chong Insure touts that this new instalment plan is designed with customer flexibility in mind, to ensure they have access to adequate coverage without overwhelming their budgets, with instalments possible to be spread across 3, 6, 9, or 12 months, depending on the customer’s preferences and financial situation.

Not only is Go Ansuran Mudah tailored to provide further ease in managing payments, another highlight is its profit rate, which can go up to 1.5% per month depending on the customer’s credit profile. Tan Chong Insure is further touting that Go Ansuran Mudah approval times can be as fast as 15 minutes too, which means customers can receive the financing they need almost immediately, making the process efficient and stress-free.

Also, unlike typical instalment plans, customers who wish to sign up with Go Ansuran Mudah can do so without the need for a credit card. In fact, all Malaysians with privately registered vehicles and an online banking account are eligible, provided they meet the age requirement of 18 to 65 years.

By lowering the barriers to access, Tan Chong Insure is making it easier for all customers to secure their motor takaful policy and renew their road tax. By introducing Go Ansuran Mudah, the brand continues to widen its contribution to a safer and more protected driving community across the country.

According to Tan Chong Insure, this new offering is in line with Malaysia continuing its journey to becoming a global leader in Islamic finance and takaful. As the local takaful market is still less saturated compared to conventional insurance, this presents the perfect opportunity for insurance players to fill crucial gap for a broader range of customers.

“This collaboration with Direct Lending, a trusted digital financing marketplace offering Shariah-compliant financing solutions, reinforces our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the Malaysian public,” said Joshua Yong, Head of Tan Chong Insure (formerly Tan Chong Insurance Business Stream).

“Our primary goal is to make insurance — particularly motor insurance, which has been at the core of our business — more accessible and straightforward for everyone. Now, with our Shariah compliant financing options, both Muslim and non-Muslim customers can enjoy peace of mind knowing they are using a financial product that adheres to Islamic principles while benefiting from the convenience of modern financial services.”

Customers seeking flexible financing options for their motor insurance are invited to visit any of Tan Chong Insure’s ETCM Showrooms, TCEAS Service Centres, or Customer Service Centres, where the application process is quick and seamless. For those who prefer a digital approach, Go Ansuran Mudah is also available online through the GoInsuran website.
