Mitusbishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), have just launched the Mitsubishi Triton – Phantom Plus Edition in Malaysia. This is a highly anticipated model as the standard Triton has been one of the best-selling pickup trucks in Malaysia for years now. This new Mitsubishi Triton – Phantom Plus Edition is built on the Triton A/T Premium with added sportier features and aesthetics. It is also an exclusive model from Mitsubishi, only limited to 1,000 units in Malaysia and only available in Jet Black Mica colour.
The main additions to the Phantom Plus Edition of the Triton are mostly cosmetic. This includes 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels with Yokohama Geolander all-terrain tires, red and black colours for a sporty look, and ‘PHANTOM PLUS’ body decals.
Moving into the cabin, the new Triton – Phantom Plus Edition comes with sporty leatherette seats and red accent carpet mat. It is also equipped with a 9-Inch Touchscreen Audio with Apple Carplay and Android Ready as standard. All these accessories upgrade is by Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia authorized dealers.
The Triton – Phantom Plus Edition is priced at the following on-the-road and without insurance for private registration and comes with a warranty of 5-Years or 200,000km whichever comes first.

The Triton – Phantom Plus Edition is powered by a 2.4-litre MIVEC turbodiesel engine, which produces 181 PS max power and 430 Nm max torque with Variable Valve Timing technology.
Safety-wise, the Triton – Phantom Plus Edition comes with Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Active Stability Control (ASC), Traction Control (TC), Rest Reminder, Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Trailer Stability Assist (TSA).
The Triton – Phantom Plus Edition is also equipped with a Driving Video Recorder (DVR) offered by MMM authorized dealers as standard at all Mitsubishi Motors showrooms nationwide.
For control, the Triton – Phantom Plus Edition is fitted with Easy Select 4WD with off-road mode for optimum handling characteristics in any given terrain. The Triton – Phantom Plus Edition also comes with Hill Descent Control where the vehicle speed is electronically controlled while it is in a descent mode.
The Triton- Phantom Plus Edition also delivers an impressive turning radius of 5.9m, making parking or turning in the tightest spaces effortless.
