Electric, hybrid or combustion whatever their power engines are at the heart of PEUGEOT’s driving pleasure. PEUGEOT engineers have designed the new Turbo 100 petrol engine to elevate performance while optimising efficiency and reliability.

The Turbo 100 incorporates 70% new components by value, including the timing chain, turbocharger, injection system, pistons and cylinder block.
It will be available on the PEUGEOT 208 from March 2026, followed by the PEUGEOT 2008 from May 2026.

Driving pleasure in all conditions
The Turbo 100 is a 3-cylinder 1,199 cm³ engine delivering 101 hp (74 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 205 Nm from 1,750 rpm.
The variable-geometry turbocharger optimises response at low revs, improving urban driving and overtaking.

Optimised efficiency
Fuel consumption and emissions are improved by a 350-bar high-pressure direct injection system, a valve timing system that reduces friction, new piston heads, and operation based on the Miller cycle with a high compression ratio.

Enhanced reliability
The Turbo 100 features a durable timing chain, with new engine block, pistons and rings designed for robustness and controlled oil consumption.
It underwent over 30,000 hours of endurance testing, with prototype vehicles covering more than 3 million kilometres, some exceeding 200,000 kilometres.

The PEUGEOT 208 and 2008 with the Turbo 100 will also benefit from the PEUGEOT CARE programme, offering a warranty of up to 8 years/160,000 km*.

Reduced maintenance
Models with the Turbo 100 will require servicing every 2 years/25,000 km (previously 1 year/20,000 km), with an annual interim check.
