Allianz Expands EV Charging On-the-Go To More Regions

The Allianz emergency EV charging service is now available in Penang, Kuantan and Johor Bahru.
Allianz is yet again upping its already impressive game in the local motor insurance space with the expansion of its On-the-Go services, aimed at improving everyday convenience for motorists. The latest enhancements focus on mobile EV charging and windscreen replacement, both designed to reduce downtime and simplify the ownership experience.

Something EV owners should take note of is the expanded reach of the EV Charging On-the-Go service. For 2026, Allianz General has extended this offering beyond the Klang Valley to Penang, Kuantan and Johor Bahru, significantly widening its coverage footprint.
Offered under Allianz General’s EV Shield coverage, the EV Charging On-the-Go service provides a 15-minute mobile fast charge that can deliver up to 50 kilometres of driving range. This allows stranded EV drivers to continue their journey to the nearest charging point without requiring a tow, offering a simple but highly practical solution in emergency situations.

Since its introduction, the service has seen steady growth in usage, with more EV owners relying on it as a dependable safety net. The wider footprint not only improves accessibility across key regions, but also supports the broader push towards electrified mobility nationwide.
Alongside this emergency EV charging region expansion meanwhile is Allianz’s Windscreen Replacement On-the-Go service, which focuses on a more traditional but equally relevant aspect of car ownership. Instead of visiting a workshop, customers can have their damaged or cracked windscreens repaired or replaced at a location of their choice.
The process is apparently rather straightforward, with customers only needing to call a dedicated hotline to request assistance. Allianz-branded mobile units are then dispatched within an hour, significantly reducing waiting time and inconvenience.

The service uses genuine glass replacements and includes a lifetime warranty, providing added assurance in terms of quality and durability. Since its rollout, it has handled hundreds of cases nationwide each year, with consistently positive feedback from customers.
Taken together, these On-the-Go services highlight Allianz General’s continued push towards practical, customer-focused innovation. By addressing both emerging EV needs and everyday motoring issues, the insurer is not only enhancing convenience but also setting a higher benchmark for service delivery in Malaysia’s insurance industry.
