Tesla Adds V2L Capability Across Lineup, Updates Model 3 And Opens Roadster Reservations

Tesla has introduced Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability across its Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L lineups, alongside interior and hardware updates for the Model 3. The company has also opened reservations for its next-generation Roadster in Malaysia and selected markets.
Tesla introduces V2L Powershare
The new V2L Powershare feature allows owners to use their vehicle’s battery to power external devices, appliances and tools. With Tesla’s Outlet Adapter, compatible vehicles can provide 230V power at up to 13A through the charge port.
The feature supports devices such as lamps, power tools and small appliances. With V2L Powershare added to the Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L, Tesla says all its vehicles now support V2L.

Model 3 receives interior and hardware updates
Every Tesla Model 3 now comes with a black headliner and a larger 16-inch central touchscreen. Buyers can also choose a new Zen Grey interior and 19-inch Dark Nova wheels.
The Model 3 offers a claimed driving range of up to 750 km under the WLTP cycle. Its quickest version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds.
Prices in Malaysia start at RM149,000, with monthly payments advertised from RM1,148. The updated Model 3 is available to order through Tesla Malaysia’s website.
Tesla also highlights the model’s safety ratings from organisations including NHTSA and IIHS in the United States, Euro NCAP in Europe, ANCAP in Australia and New Zealand, and C-IASI in China.

Next-generation Roadster reservations open
Tesla has opened reservations for its next-generation Roadster in the United States and selected markets, including Malaysia.
The company says the design takes inspiration from the SR-71 and F-35 aircraft. It also references SpaceX components and promises performance beyond its existing Plaid models.
Production is scheduled to begin in 2028, initially with left-hand-drive vehicles only. Malaysian customers can submit reservations through Tesla’s website.

Malaysia charging network expands
Tesla Malaysia currently operates 21 Supercharger sites with 92 Superchargers, alongside 18 Destination Charging sites with 78 Wall Connectors.
The company plans to add six more charging sites by the end of 2026 across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Perak, Seremban and Penang. Tesla also reports that more than 13,000 Malaysian households have adopted home charging.
The network supports cross-border travel between Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Tesla says warranty coverage, service access and connectivity are also available across these markets.
