BYD Fangchengbao has announced that its new Fangcheng S is now available at 289 dealerships across 133 cities in China.
The company made the announcement through its official Weibo account, confirming that the new coupe has begun arriving at dealerships across several provinces and major cities.
The Fangcheng S is currently available in locations covering Anhui, Beijing, Chongqing, Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hebei, Henan, Heilongjiang, Hubei, Hunan, Jilin, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Shandong, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Shanghai, Sichuan, Tianjin, Xinjiang, Yunnan and Zhejiang.
The model officially launched on 16 September with prices ranging from RMB189,900 (RM115,700) to RMB229,900 (RM140,100). It was introduced alongside the Fangcheng S GT shooting brake and is positioned as a mid-to-large-sized coupe.
The Fangcheng S adopts design cues from the Fangchengbao Formula X sports car, giving it a more sporty appearance compared with conventional sedans.
One of its main highlights is the debut of BYD’s Yunni-M intelligent magnetorheological suspension system. The system uses the properties of magnetorheological fluid to adjust damping between softer and firmer settings within milliseconds.
According to BYD Fangchengbao, the suspension is designed to adapt to different driving conditions while improving the vehicle’s ride and handling characteristics.
The Fangcheng S also offers a claimed maximum range of up to 900 km under China’s CLTC testing standard, giving the model a relatively long driving range for its segment.
With the model now reaching dealerships across 133 cities, potential customers in China can get a closer look at the Fangcheng S and experience its new suspension technology before making a purchase.
