The Ford showroom in Sibu, Sarawak has also been given a spruce up for 2025.
Sime Darby Auto Connexion-Ford (Auto ConneXion), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, has kicked off 2025 by announcing that it has extended its East Malaysian presence with an expanded dealer network across Sabah and Sarawak, bringing their total to 11 dealerships across Borneo. This recent expansion includes two new service-only facilities in previously underserved regions of Kapit and Mukah in Sarawak, reflecting the company’s response to growing customer demand in the region.
Another notable change to Ford’s dealer network meanwhile in Sarawak is the recent opening of its newly-upgraded showroom in Sibu, managed by Ngu Brothers. The refreshed 6,135 sq. ft. facility showcases modern design elements and enhanced amenities, including customer lounges and an elevated vehicle display area, all aligned with the Blue Oval’s corporate identity standards.
The Ford dealer network in Sarawak currently spans across major cities with dealerships in Kuching (SDAC), Sibu (Ngu Brothers), Miri (ALV Brothers), Bintulu (Ngu Brothers), and Kota Samarahan (Jimisar Motors). As for the state to its north, Sabah’s coverage includes dealerships in Kota Kinabalu (Boston Auto and Rightpower Corporation), Sandakan (Boston Auto), and Tawau (TB Automotive).
Turse Zuhair, Managing Director of SDAC, emphasised the importance of East Malaysia as a growth market, citing strong demand in 2024. “This network expansion signifies our commitment in delivering world-class customer experiences, while raising the bar in providing quality automotive products and services in East Malaysia,” he stated. He particularly highlighted the strategic importance of extending services to underserved regions, with the recent opening of its Kapit and Mukah service centres being testament to that.
