CHERY launches Tiggo V at Auto China 2026
A Versatile Solution for Modern Family Mobility

Chery Group just unveiled the Chery TIGGO V at Auto China 2026 the brand’s first transformable multi-functional family SUV in the TIGGO series, developed around a ‘scenario-driven’ concept.
The TIGGO V marks Chery’s expansion into the global multi-functional vehicle segment, offering flexible mobility solutions tailored to evolving family needs. At the launch, Jeff Zhang, CEO of Chery, emphasized the brand’s long-term commitment to prioritizing real-world family mobility through reliable quality and thoughtful technology.

The “V” in TIGGO V represents Versatility, Value, and Victory it is a reflection of the vehicle’s unique ability to combine the stability of an SUV, the comfort of an MPV, the lifestyle flexibility of a recreational vehicle, and the practicality of a pickup. Designed for multi-purpose use, the TIGGO V integrates all these functions into a single, highly adaptable model that caters to a wide range of lifestyle scenarios.
In SUV mode, the TIGGO V is designed for confident daily driving and weekend adventures. It embodies Chery’s tiger-inspired design language, featuring a bold V-shaped grille and LED headlights. Built with a body structure made from 76 percent high-strength steel and aluminum, it ensures robust safety performance, complemented by Advanced Driver Assistance Systems such as Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Automatic Parking Assist, and Remote Parking Assist.
Switching to MPV mode, the TIGGO V transforms into a spacious, family-friendly vehicle with a 2800 mm wheelbase and a three-row, seven-seat configuration. The second-row seats are adjustable for sliding and folding, allowing for multiple interior layouts including a convenient ‘bed mode’. The vehicle offers 42 storage compartments, independent air vents across all rows, and dual-zone automatic climate control, creating a comfortable and functional cabin environment. An N95-grade PM0.3 air filtration system further enhances air quality, ensuring a healthier experience for all passengers.
In PUP mode, the TIGGO V takes on pickup-style functionality, perfect for outdoor and utility needs. Its quick-detach rear structure allows for an expanded cargo area, while the wide-opening tailgate and foldable seating make it easy to load bulkier items such as luggage, equipment, or household goods. The model also supports a range of compatible accessories like roof tents and storage systems, providing extra flexibility for both everyday use and outdoor exploration.
Powering the TIGGO V is Chery’s sixth-generation Super Hybrid system, which delivers smooth and efficient performance suited to diverse driving conditions. The PHEV variant achieves fuel consumption as low as 6L/100 km, while the ICE version records 7.84L/100 km. With a high-clearance chassis offering 220 mm of ground clearance, the vehicle delivers confidence and capability across various terrains.
